The only reason that any of this hurts is because I want you in my life.
I do want to come get you. And, though I don't think I have a caring bone in my body, I want to scoop you up and put you to bed in my bed. I want to worry about you getting up in time to go to work, and I want to wonder what you're going to do all day. I want to feel badly that I have a cat, and you're allergic, and if I have to, I want to keep the door to my bedroom closed so Cosmo can't sleep on the bed.
I want to teach you all of the things I know, because I've never been able to do that.
I want to have this argument in person, because we would have laughed this into a non issue, and I wouldn't feel like running away because everything would be fixed.
